Hello, I'm Maya, an artist working across painting, drawing, and photography. I grew up in New York City and currently attend Drexel University, where I study environmental studies. I spent my freshman year of college at SAIC (School of the Art Institute of Chicago), further developing a foundation in drawing, painting, and visual composition. Although I ultimately decided to transfer and pursue a different academic path, art remains an important part of my life. My strengths lie in still life and in my ability to represent what I see through light, shadow, and color. In my photography, I explore both street photography and various environments, experimenting with texture and color. I am still continuing my practice as an artist, allowing inspiration to guide my works.
